General Bedding Care Guide

Taking proper care of your bedding ensures it stays soft, fresh, and durable wash after wash. Here are our care recommendations for each product type.

Sheets

Egyptian Cotton Sheets

  • Washing: Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle
  • Detergent: Use a mild, liquid detergent — avoid bleach and fabric softeners
  • Drying: Tumble dry on low heat or line dry for best results
  • Ironing: Iron on a medium setting if desired for a crisp finish
  • Frequency: Wash every 1–2 weeks

Linen Sheets

  • Washing: Machine wash in cold to lukewarm water on a gentle cycle
  • Detergent: Use a mild detergent — linen becomes softer with each wash
  • Drying: Tumble dry on low or air dry
  • Ironing: Linen naturally wrinkles — embrace the relaxed look or iron while slightly damp
  • Frequency: Wash every 1–2 weeks

Duvets & Comforters

  • Washing: Machine wash in cold water using a large-capacity machine
  • Detergent: Use a small amount of mild detergent
  • Drying: Tumble dry on low with wool dryer balls to prevent clumping
  • Fluffing: Shake and fluff your duvet regularly between washes
  • Frequency: Wash every 2–3 months, or use a duvet cover for less frequent washing

Pillows

  • Washing: Most of our pillows can be machine washed — check the care label
  • Drying: Tumble dry on low heat until completely dry
  • Fluffing: Fluff pillows daily to maintain loft and support
  • Replacement: Consider replacing pillows every 1–2 years for optimal support

General Tips

  • Pre-treat stains gently before washing
  • Avoid overloading the washing machine — bedding needs room to circulate
  • Skip the fabric softener — it can coat fibers and reduce breathability
  • Store clean bedding in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight

Tip: Using a duvet cover is the easiest way to keep your duvet clean and protected. Simply wash the cover regularly instead of the duvet itself.
