Compatible Foundations

Your Megsu mattress is designed to work with a variety of bed frames and foundations. Choosing the right support is important for comfort and mattress longevity.

Recommended Options

Platform Bed Frames

  • Best choice for our mattresses
  • Solid surface or slats with no more than 3 inches between them
  • No box spring required
  • Provides consistent, even support

Slatted Frames

  • Slats should be no more than 3 inches apart
  • Slats should be at least 2.75 inches wide
  • A center support bar is recommended for Queen, King, and Cal King sizes
  • Bent or broken slats should be replaced immediately

Adjustable Bases

  • Our mattresses are compatible with most adjustable bases
  • Ensure the base has a flat, solid sleeping surface
  • Check weight capacity to ensure it supports both the mattress and sleepers

Box Springs

  • Modern low-profile box springs are compatible
  • Ensure the box spring is in good condition with no sagging
  • Place on a bed frame with center support for added stability

What to Avoid

  • Wire or metal grid frames — Uneven support can damage the mattress and void your warranty
  • Frames with wide slat gaps — Gaps over 3 inches allow the mattress to sag between slats
  • Placing the mattress on the floor — While temporary, long-term floor use can trap moisture and lead to mold growth
  • Old or damaged foundations — A worn foundation cannot provide proper support
